Season’s Greetings from FairRC
As the year winds down, we wanted to take a moment to look back on what’s been an exciting, creative, and frequently surprising year in RC. While December itself has been a little quieter on the release front, it felt like the perfect opportunity to reflect on the standout models that defined each month of 2025.
From scale crawlers and monster bashers to unexpected water racers and wildly imaginative builds, this year reminded us why we love this hobby so much. And if 2025 was impressive, 2026 is shaping up to be even better. Here’s our month-by-month look back at the machines that made this year special.
January – FMS 1/10 FCX10 PRO Brushless LC80 RS V2
We kicked off 2025 strong with a fully loaded LC80 that set the tone for the year. FMS pulled out all the stops on the PRO version, and we were especially proud to see Batrazzi Precipice tires chosen for the build – a real “pinch us” moment. Between the brushless power system, upgraded transmission, portal axles, and locking diffs, this LC80 felt like a statement piece right out of the gate.
February – FCX10 LC80 Tri-Color Mod
After the success of the FCX18 Tri-Color LC80, bringing that iconic look to the FCX10 felt inevitable, and it didn’t disappoint. Inspired by Ivan Stewart’s legendary race trucks, this mod blended motorsport history with modern trail performance. Scale details, magnetic lighting, Batrazzi wheels and tires, and that unmistakable livery made it one of the most visually striking rigs of the year.
March – FMS 1/10 Ford F100 Monster Truck
March was all about pure fun. The F100 Monster Truck arrived as FMS’s first large-scale monster platform, and it quickly became our go-to recommendation for gifting—and bashing. With classic ‘70s Ford styling, simple RWD layout, and endless wheelies, it reminded us that RC doesn’t always need to be complicated to be awesome.
April – Joysway 1/14 E1 RaceBirds
April came completely out of left field—and we loved it. The E1 RaceBirds introduced hydrofoiling RC boats to a whole new audience, blending futuristic design with real-world racing pedigree. Seeing celebrity-backed teams and full-scale innovation translated into RC form made this one of the year’s most unexpected hits.
May – FMS 1/24 FCX24 Power Wagon Brushless (Green)
May brought a brushless refresh to the FCX24 lineup, and the green Power Wagon quickly became a staff favorite. Smooth brushless crawling, portal axles, Batrazzi tires, and that metallic green finish gave it loads of personality. When we added our newly designed wooden flatbed and green shocks, it was hard not to fall in love, even if we never officially released it as a mod.
June – K5 White Blaze Mod RTR
June’s Mystery Box experiment delivered some real gems, and the White Blaze K5 stood out instantly. Its crisp white repaint, retro striping, brass-weighted wheels, and sticky Precipice tires struck a perfect balance between vintage style and trail-ready capability. A quiet release, but one that left a big impression.
July – FMS 1/7 Ford Bronco RTR EB
July is when things got serious. The 1/7 Bronco RTR EB was bold, aggressive, and impossible to ignore. With licensed Ultra4 looks, massive scale presence, and brutal brushless performance, it felt like a turning point. Proof that FMS is fully committed to pushing into high-end basher territory. One of the best-looking rigs of the year, hands down.
August – FMS 1/10 FMT10 Chevrolet Colorado
Hot on the Bronco’s heels, the FMT10 Colorado doubled down on performance. A brand-new chassis, serious brushless power, and GM licensing made it clear this platform was just the beginning. Fast, tough, and unapologetically aggressive, it gave us a lot to be excited about for what comes next.
September – FCX10 Land Rover Camel Trophy Edition
September delivered one of the most anticipated releases of the year. After first appearing early 2025 at the Beijing Expo, the Camel Trophy Land Rovers finally hit the trails, and they were worth the wait. Stunning scale detail, magnetic lighting, and classic expedition vibes made these instant icons. Extra bonus points for our very own Joe getting on camera in the official launch video.
October – Hobby Plus CR18P Terranaut 8x8
October was pure RC madness in the best way possible. The Terranaut 8x8 returned Hobby Plus to our lineup with one of the most feature-packed vehicles we’ve ever seen. Active all-wheel steering, winch, towing capability, two-speed transmission, and endless scale details made it a machine that constantly surprised and delighted.
November – FMS 1/24 FCX24M Toyota Tacoma
Just when we thought the Terranaut would be unbeatable, November happened. The FCX24M Tacoma exploded onto the scene and instantly captured the community’s imagination. Incredible scale detail, a new chassis platform, and endless modding potential made it the micro crawler everyone was talking about, right in time for Christmas.
December – FairRC FCX24M Taco Black Mamba Mod
December may have been quieter, but the Black Mamba didn’t need noise to make an impact. Born from community feedback, this stealthy Tacoma mod paired glossy black paint with Night Racer wheels and larger tires for a bold, tactical look. Sometimes the best releases strike when you least expect them.
Thank You & Looking Ahead
As we wrap up 2025, we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported us this year, whether you bought a rig, shared a post, left feedback, or simply followed along. This community is what makes FairRC special.
We’ve got big plans, bold ideas, and some exciting surprises lined up for the next twelve months. From all of us at FairRC, we wish you a joyful holiday season and an incredible start to 2026. See you on the trails.
