From One Bold Experiment to a New Way of Building RC Cars
Every great journey starts with a simple idea.
For FairRC, it started with a question:
“What if we could make an already amazing RC car even more special?”
In June 2022, FMS released the first model in their FCX24 series — the iconic Power Wagon .
The little crawler quickly became a worldwide sensation. With its impressive performance, realistic design, and endless upgrade possibilities, it captured the hearts of RC enthusiasts around the world.

At FairRC, we were watching closely.
We saw not only a successful product, but also a platform full of possibilities.
We believed this small truck had the potential to become something completely different with the right vision, creativity, and craftsmanship.
And that idea became the beginning of FairRC Mods.
Our First Custom Build: The Limited Edition Mod
At the time, we had no plans to create an entire line of custom builds.
We simply wanted to try something new: a vehicle with its own personality.
The result was our very first custom creation:
The FairRC FCX24 Power Wagon Limited Edition Mod.
The name itself reflected our original vision. We called it the Limited Edition Mod because we truly believed it would be a one-time experiment — a single special build to see what was possible.
We had no idea that this first attempt would become the foundation of something much bigger.
Creating the Limited Edition Mod was a completely new experience for our team.
We transformed the original Power Wagon through a combination of different creative techniques and materials:
● A custom three-tone paint scheme combining red, blue, and silver
● 3D-printed custom smoke stacks and a unique front visor
● Hand-applied custom stickers and finishing details
These were all new challenges for us at this scale. It was our first time bringing together multiple forms of customization — painting, fabrication, design, and detailing — into one complete RC build.
It was not just an upgrade project.
It was our first attempt at creating an RC vehicle with its own story and personality.

Listening, Learning, and Improving
When we introduced our first custom build to the RC community, the response was mixed.
Some fans loved the creativity and the idea behind the project, while others felt that some of the details did not yet reach the level of refinement expected by experienced RC enthusiasts.
One area that received particular attention was the 3D-printed components.
Our team had spent countless hours carefully smoothing and finishing the resin parts, trying to achieve the best possible appearance. We put significant effort into improving the surface quality and making the printed pieces feel more like finished production parts.
However, despite all that work, the final results still left room for improvement.
A detailed YouTube review highlighted some of these concerns, including visible surface imperfections and wear on certain 3D-printed components that affected the overall premium feel of the build.
For us, this was an important a-ha moment.
The feedback did not discourage us. It showed us that if we wanted to create custom builds that truly excited hobbyists, we needed to keep improving, experimenting, and listening carefully to the community.
This became the beginning of something that remains central to FairRC today:
Using customer feedback to inspire new ideas, develop better products, and create things that RC enthusiasts genuinely love.
Customization became a way to create a connection with our customers.
From Experiment to Passion
With every new build, we continued experimenting with different designs, colors, and ideas.
Then came one of our most loved early creations:
The Bad Baby FCX24 Custom Mod.

What started as another creative experiment quickly became a community favorite — a bold pink repaint with a new bed option.
Let's face it: the RC crawler market is predominantly made up of middle-aged and older male hobbyists, and not many brands would take the risk of producing a bright pink rig for mass production.
But we believed there was someone out there who would love a pink truck.
So we decided to chase that small niche within a niche market.
Its unique style attracted everyone — from experienced RC hobbyists to newcomers, from kids discovering RC for the first time to collectors looking for something different.
The response was incredible.
Even years after the model was discontinued, customers are still reaching out, hoping to get one more.
And because every custom build carries a special meaning, we are happy to create additional individual builds for people who truly wanted one.
A World of Custom Builds
After the success of the Bad Baby, custom builds became a much bigger part of what we do.
Over the years, we have explored countless different styles and ideas, creating everything from simple but eye-catching repaints to fully transformed custom vehicles.
Our builds have included:
● Performance-focused mods featuring upgraded components
● Realistic rust and weathering effects
● Racing-inspired liveries
● Custom bed conversions
● Movie-inspired builds
● Adventure camper rigs
● Patrol and emergency vehicles
● Scale replicas and themed creations
● And many other one-of-a-kind ideas
Every build has given us a chance to explore a different style, learn new techniques, and push the boundaries of what can be done with small-scale RC vehicles.

Custom Builds Are Now Part of Who We Are
Looking back, our first modified Power Wagon was more than just a product.
The Limited Edition Mod was the moment when FairRC discovered a new way to connect with RC enthusiasts. A way to create vehicles that are not only powerful, but also personal.
But while we love creating our own custom builds, we also love seeing what hobbyists do with their own rigs.
Some of the most inspiring creations come from members of the RC community who take a vehicle in a direction we never imagined. Whether it is a unique paint scheme, a creative modification, or a completely new concept, we are proud to be part of a culture where builders create, share, and inspire each other.
From one bold experiment to hundreds of ideas, custom builds have become part of FairRC's DNA.
Because the best RC car is the one that was built with you in mind.
